Rider Pro for the rider, the Pulse app on Android or iOS, and a connected free Mechanic account. Both devices must be online. Additional sensors and a compatible Bluetooth LE OBD adapter are needed only for the extra channels they provide.
Rider: start sharing from Pulse
- Open Pulse on the recording phone. Check that the phone is online and signed into the intended rider account.
- Grant Live View access to the intended mechanic and start the live transmission in Pulse. This is the rider’s action in the mobile app. Access to motorcycle records in the web app is a separate arrangement; it does not by itself confirm that a live feed is being sent.
- Ask the mechanic to check reception before you head out. Keep the phone online while they open the receiving view below. You can confirm the account and available readings together before the session begins.
Mechanic: check the incoming data
- Sign into your Mechanic account in a browser and open Live View. You can use a phone, tablet or computer, including from the workshop rather than the circuit.
- Find the transmitting rider and check the freshness of the readings. Confirm that the feed belongs to the intended rider and that new snapshots are arriving. The age of each snapshot helps you tell whether the feed is updating.
- Check the channels you intend to follow. The phone provides the basic recording; engine readings depend on a compatible motorcycle and Bluetooth LE OBD adapter. Confirm the needed channel is present before relying on it during the outing.
Live sharing is working when the mechanic sees current snapshots from the right rider. The rider and mechanic do not need to be at the same location, but both connections must remain available.
If the panel is empty or stops updating
First check that the rider has started transmission, their phone is online and access was granted to the intended mechanic account. Then check the mechanic’s connection and the age of the last received snapshot. If that age keeps increasing, the displayed values are no longer current.
A missing engine channel is a different issue from a missing feed. When other values are arriving, check whether that channel is supplied by the motorcycle and connected equipment. The motorcycle and adapter table describes the tested combinations.
Open the saved ride separately afterwards
Live View shows current snapshots and does not store the session. Pulse records the ride separately. For a later review, the rider must make that saved session available to the mechanic, who can then open it under Shared Garage → Sessions. Check the date and circuit to identify the right recording.
