How to replay a single Pulse lap in 3D

Open a recorded Pulse session to watch one lap in 3D, with its available telemetry alongside the ride. This guide takes you from selecting that lap to replaying a passage. You do not need onboard footage.

Updated

Before you start

A Rider Pro account, a recorded Pulse session and a supported 3D model of its track layout. The readings shown depend on the channels in your recording.

Open one lap in 3D

  1. Open your Pulse session under Racing → Sessions. Scroll to Racing Line, where the session’s laps are listed with their times.
  2. Choose Single lap and select the lap you want to watch. Use its number and time to identify it. Select an individual lap rather than All.
  3. Choose 3D, then press Play beneath the scene. The motorcycle follows the selected lap’s recorded path. Check the highlighted lap before reviewing the ride, especially if you have just switched from another lap.

You can now watch that lap from start to finish. To spend more time on a particular part of the ride, use the playback and camera controls below.

Choose a view that helps you see the ride

Chase follows your motorcycle from behind, showing its movement through the circuit. Onboard gives a virtual rider’s perspective. Switch to Aerial when you want to see the path across the track width, including the approach and exit.

Use the playback bar to return to a moment you want to examine. Pause there or choose a slower setting under Speed to watch how the movement develops. You can change viewpoint as you review the same passage; no second lap is needed.

The displayed readings belong to the selected lap. Where both are recorded, Grip Pos. shows throttle-grip position and Throttle shows the actual opening reported by the ECU. A blank reading means that value is unavailable, rather than zero.

Repeat a passage

  1. Expand Segment loop and data comparison beneath the playback bar. For a marked corner, choose it under Corner / apex.
  2. Check the A and B times and enable Repeat A–B. These identify the passage to repeat. Keep Lead-in and exit enabled if you want the approach and departure included.
  3. Choose Restart segment. Watch the passage and check that it includes the part you wanted to revisit. With repeat enabled, you can study it again from another camera view.

If the corner you need is not listed, use the main playback bar to return to that part of the lap. You can still pause and slow the replay.

When you want another lap alongside yours

Single lap is enough to watch your own recorded ride. To put two to four laps together, use Compare laps and follow the separate comparison guide. Those laps can be your own or recordings a coach or friend has shared with you on the same track layout.

If 3D is unavailable for the layout, use 2D to review the recorded line and available data. The 3D replay article explains what the reconstruction can show and how it can help you revisit your ride.
